Election 2024: Campaign Roundup - Day 7
Welcome to Day 7 of our Regina 2024 Campaign Roundup!
With the 2024 municipal election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.

Campaign Roundup - Day 7:
- Today is the last day of advance voting. You can vote until 6:00 pm today at any polling station of your choice. A list of polling stations is available here.
- CTV interviewed mayoral candidate Bob Pearce. He spoke about respecting the voice of residents, removing fluoride from the water system, and ensuring residents have access to clean water.
- Mayoral candidate Rod Wiliams also interviewed with CTV. He spoke about affordability, lowering taxes, infrastructure, and safety.
- CTV profiled Ward 2 candidates. There are seven people running for the seat. Incumbent Bob Hawkins is emphasizing improving safety, maintaining affordability, and supporting families. Chidi Igwe is prioritizing repairing infrastructure, affordable housing, economic prosperity, and operational excellence. George Tsiklis is focusing on lowering taxes, finding efficiencies in City spending, and ensuring police have the resources they need. André Magnan is advocating for housing affordability, modern zoning, and improved public services. Anamul Akanda is calling for new leadership and diverse perspectives to address community issues. Sanket Patel’s priorities include improved roads, safer neighbourhoods, and business support with practical solutions, and Zaid Hameed is aiming to promote sustainability, affordable housing, and infrastructure investment.
- Incumbent Mayor Sandra Masters released a campaign ad. She says that, if re-elected, she will continue working toward a safer city, and will continue to press for financial accountability and transparency.
