About

Common Sense Regina is a non-partisan group that advocates for an efficient, effective, and accountable municipal government that prioritizes the needs of its residents by focusing on essential services and common sense decision-making.

We are dedicated to improving life in our city and bringing positive changes to City Hall by:

  • Focusing municipal spending on core priorities
  • Keeping taxes low for residents and businesses
  • Increasing accountability and transparency
  • Maximizing freedom for citizens

Unlike the many union-affiliated groups and City-funded non-profits who promote ever-bigger government, ever-higher spending, and ever-higher taxes, Common Sense Regina is a genuine grassroots-led organization with more than 2,000 supporters, activists, volunteers and donors across the city.

While those union groups claim to speak for thousands of workers, their members are forced to join their union and forced to pay them hundreds of dollars a year in union dues.

Similarly, the vast number of City-funded non-profits claim to speak for the community, but all of them depend on government for their existence, and don’t have to be accountable to the community in order to continue to exist.

By contrast, we are incredibly proud that every single Common Sense Regina supporter has made a conscious decision to give us their backing, and every single one of our donors is voluntarily donating their own hard-earned money, of their own free will.

We can’t do this by ourselves.

So, thank you for your support.
