Election 2024: Campaign Roundup - Day 4
Welcome to Day 4 of our Regina 2024 Campaign Roundup!
With the 2024 municipal election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.

Campaign Roundup - Day 4:
- Advance voting started today. Advance polling stations are open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and run until November 4th. There is also a drive-through voting station at City Hall that is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm during the advance voting period. You can locate a polling station here.
- Elections Regina is hoping for increased voter turnout this municipal election, after a disappointing 21% participation in 2020. The Assistant Returning Officer encouraged everyone to participate in the democratic process.
- The mayoral debate hosted by the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce highlighted candidates' positions on City spending, public safety, housing affordability, and homelessness. Candidates Chad Bachynski, Sandra Masters, and Lori Bresciani defended the City's 2021 fluoride decision, while Bill Pratt advocated for new leadership, criticizing past Council dynamics.
- Mayoral candidate Bill Pratt outlined his platform. He emphasized the need for a unified, vibrant Regina, targeting downtown revitalization and collaborative approaches to tackle homelessness and addiction. Pratt pledged openness and accountability.
- Mayoral candidate Chad Bachynski appeared on Greg Morgan’s radio show to talk about his campaign, and his thoughts on the previous Mayor and Council.
