Welcome to Day 15 of our Regina 2024 Campaign Roundup!
With the 2024 municipal election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.
As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from residents just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!
Campaign Roundup - Day 15:
- This is our last Daily Campaign Roundup email, as tomorrow is Election Day! We hope you found these emails helpful and enjoyed hearing all the news from the campaign trail! If you appreciated the insight and would like to support our efforts on an ongoing basis, please consider signing up as a Common Sense Regina supporter for just $10 a month. Our work is entirely funded by voluntary donations, so we greatly appreciate the support.
- Polls are open tomorrow from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. You can find your polling station here, along with information about who your local candidates are. A list of all acceptable forms of ID to bring with you to the polling station is available here.
- If you are still an undecided voter, there are a variety of resources you can use to research the candidates. Global News shared video interviews with the mayoral candidates, and the Elections Regina’s website also provides information.
- A bus trip to and from your polling station is free on Election Day for all voters. Just tell the driver that you're a voter as you board the bus - no pass or voter card is required.
- This municipal election has centered on debates over large infrastructure projects and rising costs, with candidates divided on priorities like a new $245-million aquatic facility and funding for aging infrastructure. Some candidates are advocating fiscal restraint and opposing tax increases, while others, including incumbent Mayor Masters, are emphasizing the necessity of spending on public facilities.
Support Our Work:
Common Sense Regina doesn't accept any government funding and never will. We think you should be free to choose, for yourself, which organizations to support. If you're in a position to contribute financially, you can make a donation here:
If you're not in a position to donate, we understand, but if you appreciate our work, you can help by spreading our message. Please forward this email to your friends, and help make sure every resident knows what's going on in our city.
