Election 2024: Campaign Roundup - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of our Regina 2024 Campaign Roundup!

With the 2024 municipal election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.

As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from residents just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!

Campaign Roundup - Day 1:

  • While there’s no official “writ drop” in civic elections, we’re now just two weeks out from the Regina municipal election. So, with the Saskatchewan provincial election wrapping up yesterday, we’re declaring today the unofficial Day 1 of the campaign.

  • The municipal election takes place on Wednesday, November 13th. If you haven’t already registered to vote, you can still do so on election day at your polling station. For a list of what you’ll need to bring with you to vote, you can visit the Elections Regina website.

  • Don't forget that you will be electing a Mayor, City Council, and School Board Trustees. You can see the complete list of candidates here.

  • Advance polls will be open Friday, November 1st to Monday, November 4th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. During early voting, you can cast a ballot at any polling station. To see advance voting locations, click here.

  • There will be a drive-through polling station available at City Hall during advance voting as well, open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
