Common Sense Regina launched in May with a mission to bring back common sense to City Hall.
In the six months since then, we've received tremendous support from thousands of Regina residents who are tired of seeing their tax dollars spent on flashy, non-essential projects while the basics are neglected.
Now, with the 2024 municipal election approaching, Common Sense Regina has launched a "Back to Basics" campaign calling for a return to the essential responsibilities of City Hall.
The campaign includes a series of physical and digital billboards across the city, digital advertising, and a Back to Basics petition that has already been signed by more than 1,000 supporters across the city.
It is designed to draw attention to the waste and dysfunction that’s been seen at City Hall recently, and highlight the urgent need for a return to common sense and a renewed focus on core services like infrastructure, snow removal, and basic maintenance.
While elections aren't the only way to bring back common sense to City Hall, and while Common Senese Regina will be continuing our important work after the election no matter the result, the election is a vital time for citizens to have their say on the direction they want our City to take over the next four years.
That's why we're excited to launch our campaign with billboards across the city to remind people about the election, to emphasize the need for common sense at City Hall, and to promote our new election section of our website where we have important biographical and policy information about all the candidates available for people to help inform their vote.
We've started our campaign with two designs, which you can see below:

If you'd like to help us keep these billboards running, to expand their reach, and help us launch these ads in other mediums, we would greatly appreciate your support.
Even just a $10 or $25 donation will help us get the message out.
Thank you for all of your support so far this year.
Together, let’s bring common sense back to City Hall.
